Bob W. is looking for some volunteers for next week’s Central Park Classic:

“VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR CHARITY TOURNAMENT FOR YOUTH HOCKEY

each year the canadian assn. of new york hosts an international ice hockey
charity tournament to benefit youth hockey in new york city, including ice
hockey in harlem, and our own youth street hockey program. we need
volunteers to work 2-hour shifts on saturday and sunday, from 8am-7:30pm

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

SATURDAY & SUNDAY
feb. 16 and 17, 2013
lasker rink in central park
110th street and lenox, on the 2/3 train line

the jobs include score keeping, errand running, schedule announcing
(wrangling teams to get to their games) and all manner of various and sundry
tasks. we also need ice hockey referees.

the tournament has a festival-like atmosphere. there’s a very positive vibe.
teams come from canada and all over the north east to compete, have fun and
raise money for youth hockey in our city.

we really need as many people to come help out as possible. please join us,
and bring a friend or two!

also — free tim hortons donuts and coffee for morning crew!

thanks for helping youth hockey in new york city!

sincerely yours,

bob weyersberg”
