So another week in the books and I have to say, it was a pretty good week for BTSH. As a matter of fact, it was too good. There are going to be a lot of angry Facebook posts from Schuey wondering why a few people didn’t get stars. Well Mr. Shoe-maker, typically if you score two goals and an OT winner you are going to get a star. But I don’t have any good pics of Sebastian and Gil says Gabe should have scored three. So no stars for them! Plus everyone gets a hat trick vs. the Elves so what did Bradley really accomplish? However, lets celebrate the heroes below.
So many options, but only three stars.
*** Luke B. (Gremlins)
Sorry for the pic Gremmies, but I didn’t see one on his Facebook and honestly, once I saw this, it was going in. The best part is you can barely see Luke.
I never give a star to someone that loses, but I had to make an exception. I was reffing the Gremlins/Mega game and Brady from Mega shot on Jamie. Thinking it was impossible to score on Jamie I just assumed the ball didn’t go in (I was also out of position). Anyways Brady very calmly said it went in. The next whistle, I conferred with my other blind mice Shaun and we both agreed neither of us saw it. Mega to their credit didn’t bitch or moan.
But shockingly Luke said to me it went in. I asked the Gremlins if I can count it and they said yes.
Class act by everyone involved. But only Luke gets the star you greedy bastards.
** Free Agent Goalie Joe Kozlowski and Anklebiters
Instead of just calling Jamie when the Anklebiters realized Craig sucks and can’t stop anything, Phil D. used the free agent list and got Joe K. to play goalie. And what happened? He just shut the Riots out and earned the 2nd star. Pretty impressive stuff.
Joe’s win was so impressive, he opened his own law firm! I mean how is this not the first star Schuey?!?!?!?
This is the beating the Rose Charity kids gave Rachel when they found out she didn’t win the Rose Charity Tournament on Saturday.
* Hsieh! (Free Agent)
Matt (Hsieh) N. had a great day at BTSH. First he subbed in for a late ref so we could start the game on-time(ish) and then he played for serial bottom-dwellers, the Hookers.
The Hookers were 0-2 and no one expected them to win a game all season. But then Hsieh stepped in and led the Hooks pulled off one of BTSH’s all time upsets, with a 4-3 victory over the Demons.
Congrats Hsieh! Someone pick this man up already!
PS. Happy birthday Brugger!
