I Love You Not….Previews Week 6

Love. It’s why we’re all here. From the time we are a baby, snuggled into our Daddy’s arms, to when we are leaving this earth, as our great grandchild clasps our hand one last time, we are looking for one thing.

Love.

But as we find out…true love doesn’t last forever, and often times, the ones we love are the ones we leave.

I don't know these two people. I actually just used a Google image search. But perhaps they would be happier if they didn't have some creeper taking a picture of them while they were in bed?

Which brings us to…

Poutine at Lbs: The Back Story

What a great picture of Poutine from 2011! Everything was going great. Sven and Tim were grinning ear-to-ear. But take a closer look. Tim refused to wear his Poutine jersey and Sven had to put on sunglasses to hide the tears of Tim's betrayal.

The Current

Everyone is so happy! Poutine is 3-1 and Poutine's secret owner in Canada has publicly apologized to Sven for threatening his job Meanwhile, Tim is happy on his new team the Lbs., and glad Poutine has moved on so well without him.

The Future

Think of this as a movie from the 80s. Once the good guys win, the credits roll and the movie ends. We're only 5 games into the BTSH season, the end isn't near. And therefore, the good guys wont win, they will lose. 3-0 for the Lbs. as Tim laughs with Karsten and the rest of his new suit-wearing friends.

Eli’s Pick: I don’t know why Rich tends to put his pick in the photo caption…our picks always look so out of place as a result.  LBS, Inc. 4, Poutine Machine 1.
Fine Elly…Rich’s Pick: 3-0 for the Lbs. Happy, jerk?
Derek’s Pick: Since when are Poutine the “good guys?”  Have you seen them play, Richie?  This one stays a low-scoring affair.  2-1 for the Corporation.

Butchers at Tuques: The Back Story

In 2009, Ben and Rachel were on hockey team's that sucked...Mexican Standoff and the Mighty Squirrels. They both left to form a team called the Butchers. They made the semi's their first 2 years, and almost upset Fresh Kills in 2012. It was a really successful four-year-run.

Butchers at Tuques: The Current/Future

Bloom has now left Rachel and taken Creamy and Jenna with him. (Nice shirt Jenna btw!) In keeping with the Bad 80's Movie Theme: They have left Rachel for the popular hot chicks over at the Tuques. Just like Poutine/Lbs., its still too early for a happy ending (though if any...ahhh never mind keep it PG) Anyways, before I was rudely interrupted, I'm not loving the Butchers chances here. 5-0 Tuques. Normally I'd offer a beer to 7 Butchers if I was wrong but since its my bday sorry, not happening.

Eli’s Pick: Again with the pick in the caption? La Famiglia 5, Butchers 2.
Rich’s Pick: You’re replaceable Elly. Tuques 5-0.
Derek’s Pick: 4-2 La Famiglia
