hello BTSH members!
there are big changes for the coming season:
– s.b. is in retirement and bobw will be running the show, with the help of some key BTSH leaders.
– schuie will be the “director of officiators,” aka the person in charge of the refs and rules.
– the old yahoo groups list is disused – make sure that you join the new group, found at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/btsh.
– we’re working closely with the parks dept. to improve our facilities and provide a better experience for our players.

as the 2007 BTSH season is being planned out we’re proposing a number of changes. the captains will meet on feb. 3, 2007 to consider the ideas and decide on how the new season will be formatted.

some of the key proposals include:
– creating two divisions, based on last year’s season records, but including inter-divisional play.
– scheduling 16 regular season games and 4 play-off/finals games.
– allowing teams to in-bound directly on goal from the half court line when possession is granted due to a foul committed by one team.
– creating a roster cap of 26 (including the goalie).
– allowing 2 more teams (18 total) to form.

there are other ideas to consider as well, which will be posted in full on the btsh.org “battledome” discussion area. we encourage everybody to review the proposals and to let your captain know if you support or oppose any of the proposals. you can also inform your captain of your opinion on any topics that are of concern to you regarding BTSH.

– MARCH 18 – SCRIMMAGE AT CORLEARS
– MARCH 25 – SCRIMMAGE AT CORLEARS
– APRIL 01 – SCRIMMAGE AT CORLEARS
– APRIL 13 – DEADLINE FOR PLAYER REGISTRATION
– APRIL 14 – SEASON OPENING PARTY – PARKSIDE
– APRIL 15 – FIRST DAY OF GAMES
