Franchise Four: Rehabs

One of the Media's favorite photos of all time.

One of the Media’s all-time favorite photos.

The Franchise Four–as chosen by the BTSH Media–were selected as “the most impactful players who best represent the history of each franchise.” Here are the Franchise Four for the Rehabs (in random order):

It’s all about clean eating and the GUNZ on the Rehabs.

Meredith Danberg-Ficarelli (“MDF”) – Before Math took all of the top girls in the league, MDF was widely considered the best.  A stalwart on the Habs’ blue line for years, she was the cornerstone of their innovative “two women on defense” strategy.  She also knows her way around a chicken wing.

Bryan Welch (“Stork”) – More than just a pretty face, Welch has captained the team for the bulk of its recent history, including the team’s recent run to the 2015 BTSH Final.  His carefree and noncompetitive nature perfectly encapsulates the fun-loving attitude of his team and has made him one of the most well-respected and admired members of the league.

Stacy Kehoe – Kehoe is already a Hall of Famer and has a major BTSH award named after her (the coveted Stacy S. Kehoe Award for Toughness and Grace).  The Ying to MDF’s Yang, Kehoe co-anchored the Rehabs defense–and bar presence–for several seasons.  REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAABSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

$h0wT!m3 (“Hector Melendez”) – BTSH may never see a character like $h0wT!m3 again.  A strong force as both a forward and a goalie, he will best be remembered for his off the court antics, including the infamous Corlears wrestling match, several homemade video featurettes, and of course, multiple retirements followed by multiple un-retirements.  As of our publishing deadline, $h0wT!m3 is contemplating retirement. Probably.

Honorable Mentions:
Anthony Romeo – The Rehabs may have been the easiest Franchise Four for the media to choose, as we unanimously selected all four players (although Derek tried to make a strong, almost uncomfortable, case for Christine Lee).  However, we would be remiss if we did not throw a quick shout out to Romeo, mostly because he is still seeking donations and needs the publicity.
