Franchise Four- Mega Touch

Iconic franchises such as Mega Touch that have been around forever, are typically hard to boil down to four players. But to be honest, and really, why would we lie? This was pretty easy. I mean has there ever been a player that meant more to a franchise than this guy?

Ariel's new Fresh Kills teammates congratulate him on making Mega Touch's Fab 4!

1- Julie K.

Non-obligatory Julie picture. I just put her in so I don't get 5 emails from her telling me I've ruined the website.

Ariel and Julie united again!

So yeah, there are plenty of Mega/Bad Touch’s that have been around forever, and Julie has only been around since 2010. But this is a no-brainer. Julie went from being someone with a “great personality” to one of the best girls in the league. (Editors note: Julie insisted I rephrase that sentence to, “One of the best womyn in the league.” I declined)

2- Eric D.

Eric just found out he won the lottery, his wife was pregnant and World Peace was achieved.

So ok, Eric wasn’t the most cheeriest of Mega’s, but he may have been the best player in franchise history. My favorite memory of Eric was when it was around 12:50 p.m. and the softball players were still playing. A ball was hit and one of the guys ran into the net that we had set up. Hurt and angry, the player threw the net down. We all looked at each other in awkward silence until Eric picked up the net, and put it exactly where it was as a token of defiance.
But while Eric wasn’t the face of Mega, he was their captain and best player for many years.

3- Mike T.

Hey look. It's Mike.

Hey look. It’s Mike.

Back when 19 bitches were crying and complaining about the weather being too hot to play goalie, they created the dreaded Goalie Union. One man, a hero, said fuck this, put me in coach. That man was Mike T.
Back in 1982,Mike bought Bob Froese’s goalie pads for $14.32. They have been serving him well ever since. Mike has had many great games over the years, though much like Jake Dellhomme, his best game came in a shootout loss to Fresh Kills in 2011. Damn you Ariel, damn you!!

4- Alex E. M.

Alex is as good a ref/player as he is an arm-wrestler.

Alex is as good a ref/player as he is an arm-wrestler.

If you had to pick one player that embodies the spirit of BTSH, it would obviously be Derek. But Alex would also be a really good choice. The guy helps with the website, refs, stays after the game and most importantly, is a fantastic heckler who makes his victim’s cry. When Sven talked about building the HOF, he said we should induct AEM’s socks. That was dumb. Inducting the man was not. There are not too many people who do more for the league than Alex. Sadly, I don’t think he let the girl in the video win. Whoever she is.

Honorable Mentions:
So there is that older guy with the white hair, the girl with the curly hair, and Adriano.
