Franchise Four- Math
When Ben Chadwick scores 3 goals in one game vs. you, you are not on a great franchise (May 2, 2010, Chadtrick). But that all changed with the emergence of one family. Will any of them make the Franchise Four? Not if Elly has anything to say about it. (And he does, he was one of the 3 people who voted) But those pesky Norris’ won’t go away quietly.
When you are the first group of people ever to make it into the BTSH Hall of Fame, you get your # retired, you get top billing. Pratt was one of the leagues best players before the Modern Era (2008-2015). When he left, he still was one of the best.
2 & 3 Derk & Elly
There are several people who made this league what it is today, and Derk & Elly are right up there with any of them. (SB, Bob W.) My favorite part of BTSH is at 7:30 p.m. at Ace Bar, 7 people from 7 different teams will be talking in a group. A major reason is this website. Both made the league so inclusive with Know Your Neighbor and pictures of Girls Eating Wings.
On the blacktop, while they’ll never be confused with James and Suvin, and Ken and Curley Sue, they both hold their own there too.
They also take steams together, apparently.
4- Zach Norris
The Norris Invasion was led by Zach. Zach changed the culture of Math from a losing team to a winning team, while making it way more fun. When SB founded the league, Zach would have fit right in. He is the bridge from the old school chill vibe, to the new school of overly talented players. Without Zach and his family, BTSH would not be what it is today. And Math would have probably disbanded and been called Fuzzy.
Honorable Mentions:
Brad, Amy and Langer all were considered. Brad has been on the team longer than anyone. But Math is a tough top 4 to crack. Sam of course could have been in the mix but fuck him.
