Around the League – Week 5

Cobra Kai and Poutine Machine finished their game that was rained out a couple weeks ago with Cobra Kai getting the win and Campbell the shutout.

Cobra Kai then got right back at it and narrowly defeated the Gremlins on a controversial crease goal.  So, that guy Tom is that good.  Note to self.

Rehabs thwarted Filthier in an exciting early day game.

Hookers went toe-to-toe with the class of the league, but Fresh Kills got the win via a shootout.

Poutine Machine handed Instant Karma their first loss of the season on a blast of a shot from Kevin M in OT.

Anklebiters and Math stayed even for most of the game, but the Biters eventually took over late the in second half and got the win.

In a barn burner of a contest Mega Touch scored more goals than Gut Rot and picked up an important two points.

In the battle of the free agent goalies it was Charlie O that outplayed Eitan and helped the Pucks defeat the Riots.

Fuzz overcame an early goal deficit to defeat the Sky Fighters despite a sassy Fighter taking out little Richie.  (We’ve heard jumping up and down helps.)

The Demons’ Zach L posted his second consecutive shutout by blanking the Rainbows and Jenn Po scored her first career BTSH goal.  You go girl.  (For record, she now has more goals in 2018 than Richie and Hicksy.)

Butchers and LBS played the 5:30 pm game on the West Court.  Both teams looked a little short before game time, but LBS had Avery and Big Mac.  Still no word on who won. – UPDATE: LBS won.
