Fresh Kills Wins Again
Congrats to the champs. For the third time since 2008, Fresh Kills took home the BTSH Championship.

Lets be honest, no one wanted to see the Hookers vs. Fresh Kills. And the BTSH Universe let both teams know by not even having a Heckle Wall the first 5 minutes. But then people started to trickle in and Craig joined. That’s when things went from bad to a lot worse. The crowd chanted, “Math got screwed” and “Boooooooooorrrriiiiiinggggg.” Some people screamed, “What’s the score? No one cares!” The Hookers eventually scored and the crowd was angry.
But then all of a sudden, Fresh Kills tied the game and there was a large cheer. As it turns out, the people had picked a side and they were all for Fresh Kills. The game got tighter and “Booooooorrrriiiinnnggg” chants were replaced with, “oooohhhhs” and “aaaahhhhhs.” Suddenly no one (besides Zach Norris) really cared who won, they were just enjoying some really excellent hockey by two great teams.

Despite a plethora of mistakes by Sarah Hobart, Fresh Kills stood strong and the game went to OT. Unfortunately for the Hookers, their whole roster (besides Noelle) showed up and they had four lines. Meanwhile, Fresh Kills just had two lines and Gabe and Ariel were able to go out every other shift. Gabe missed the net on a breakaway in OT and Eitel had a good chance but it was Ariel who put home the winner (we think) late in the first OT. Fresh Kills mildly celebrated and the Hookers gave high-fives to each other for a season and game that was excellently played, but came up a bit short.

My Parting Shot
If you don’t want to see the Hookers and Fresh Kills in the finals, do something about it. Beat them when it counts. Otherwise, stop the whining and ask Tim to spring for participation medals. (OK, Math is sorta allowed to wine, but no one else) Congrats to both teams from this jealous guy. I hope I can take what you have next season Fresh Kills.
